Student CBIs Needed for 2026- Paid Position

We are looking for student CBIs, 15 to 18 yrs. old, to cover the Outlet Beach boat ramp on weekend mornings and evenings for the summer season starting Memorial weekend and ending Labor Day weekend. Training will be provided in May prior to beginning inspections. Multiple positions are available.  It is our objective to identify a primary full-time student CBI and several back up student CBIs.  Please pass the word to anyone who may be interested.  Contact Chris Ricardi at 207 440-4531 or csricardi58@gmail.com

Protecting Our Lake Starts at The Boat Ramp!

Preventing invasive plants from entering Sabbathday Lake is a critical goal of the lake association.  The SDLA applies for and receives a grant each year from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection that partially covers the cost of the student CBI, and it requires that paid CBI hours be matched by additional volunteer hours.  Each member that volunteers to cover the ramp for a few slots each year would help the association meet the commitment in the grant and help keep eyes on the boats entering the lake.  You can help protect Sabbathday Lake one boat at a time.

Adult Volunteer CBIs Needed for 2026

As we have done in past years, the SDLA is also looking for adult volunteer CBIs to cover the Outlet Beach boat ramp for times that may not be filled on the student calendar or additional weekday morning or evenings.  A CBI schedule will be posted and updated throughout the season on the association website. Contact Chris Ricardi at 207 440-4531 or csricardi58@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer.
